1) Snowdonia National Park

This region is perfect for hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and horseback riding. Snowdonia also features an extensive network of trails, so if you’re more interested in walking than driving you can easily walk to points of interest all throughout North Wales without too much difficulty, with the aid of the bus and train network, of course. The park offers sweeping views of Snowdonia’s rolling landscape—which makes it a popular location for photography. If you so desire, you can rent a mountain bike to traverse at your own pace. 2) Portmeirion Village

This stunning coastal village sits perched on a cliff overlooking Cardigan Bay and is a quaint, Italianate village built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Take a day trip to Llandudno, located along Great Orme’s Bay. Spend time walking along its Victorian promenade and visiting its restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Walk down by its lovely beaches or stop off in town for a bite to eat for an authentic Welsh experience. 5) Betws-y-Coed

Betws-y-Coed is a beautiful village situated at the junction of A5 and A470 roads. It is often referred to as the gateway to Snowdonia. The National Trust runs two of its hotels here, which gives you an opportunity to stay at one of them and enjoy amazing scenic views from your window. If you’re looking for some active fun, then there are plenty of activities such as cycling, bird watching and hiking to keep you busy for hours! For a peaceful experience, you can also visit nearby Llyn Ogwen or Aber Falls where you can soak up stunning views from these waterfalls.
