The Manor Bar & Restaurant

sunday lunch conwyThe Manor is located in the grounds of Gorse Hill Lodge and Caravan park. It is a beautifully restored 19th Century manor house that overlooks fantastic views of the Conwy valley.

All the food at The Manor is prepared fresh by their team of chefs, who are highly experienced. They use local produce whenever possible too!

On Sundays, the menu includes a Roasted sirloin Welsh black beef with a giant Yorkshire pudding, duck fat & herb roast potatoes, and half a roasted chicken with duck fat roast potatoes and sausage meat stuffing. They sound incredible!

If you fancy something a bit lighter, they have options such as the duo of fish (Hake & Cod). This comes with sauté new potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb oil and balsamic dressing. Yum! Vegetarian and vegan options are also available; the veggie sausage roast sounds delicious.

The Manor Bar and Restaurant was voted the Winner or The Welsh Hospitality Awards 2019.

The Queen’s Head

The Queen’s head in Glanwydden has been called “one of the most remarkable pubs in the country”. The building was originally  the humble village wheelwright’s cottage, but has been a favourite for food for over 20 years.

The pub has a cosy atmosphere, with a low ceiling and warm carpet. The bar area has a roaring fire for you to get comfortable by as you wait to be seated.

On Sundays, the pub usually has a specials menu which will include options such as roasted pork, beef, and chicken breast. All are served with crispy roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables. Don’t worry if you’re veggie, they’ll always have an option for you too.

Signatures

Signatures restaurant is tucked away in Aberconwy Resort & Spa. However, it hasn’t been hiding, as it has previously won Best Restaurant in Wales. Places to eat in Conwy are just fantastic!

The Sunday menu offers two or three courses. Mains include a choice of 5 different meats such as beef, roast chicken, roasted honey duck breast, and Welsh lamb shoulder.

There are more options available for vegetarians, and usually there are choices that include fish.

If you can squeeze it in, the dessert menu is just as exciting! Chocolate lovers will love the warm chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce.

The Pen y Bryn

The Pen y Bryn is located in Colwyn Heights, above Colwyn Bay. The pub has a stunning dark oak interior, with bookshelves and warm roaring fire places.

The menu is updated on a day to day basis, but usually you can choose from meats like lamb, beef, pork and chicken or a mixed roast – that way you don’t miss out!

All roasts come with roast potatoes, a mixture of fresh vegetables, and a friendly smile from the staff!

If you don’t fancy a roast dinner, you can choose something from their main menu. They have a good mix of classic pub food and more exotic options.
